“It is through perception, largely visual and auditory, that we respond to the humanness that surrounds us.” - John Collier, Jr & Malcom Collier.
Images carry large amounts of data. This work is about observation: what is the data that we see? Each observation, however, is processed through layers and layers of interpretation: from the scene to my eyes to the camera onto the screen and into your eyes. How do we pierce through these images in order to see, to encounter, the humanity before our eyes?
